The missing piece
Max found the mosaic in a museum: a blue fish, a yellow bird and a red star, all made from little pieces of stone. One corner was empty.
He leaned closer. A breeze ruffled his hair. The museum walls shimmered, and suddenly he was standing on a sunlit street. Beyond a row of columns, a busy market filled the air with voices.
